Rediscover relief with

Ketamine Therapy

Advanced solutions for depression, anxiety, and mental exhaustion.

We offer two innovative and evidence-based forms of ketamine therapy designed to help patients find relief from treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood-related conditions.

What Is Ketamine Therapy?

Ketamine is a powerful treatment that’s been shown to rapidly reduce symptoms of depression and other mental health conditions, often when other treatments have failed.

Unlike traditional antidepressants, ketamine works by repairing and reconnecting neural pathways, offering many patients relief within hours or days, not weeks.

Backed by decades of research and approved by the FDA in specific forms, ketamine is now reshaping how we treat mental health.

Why Choose Ketamine at APA?

  • Fast-Acting Relief: Many patients report improvement after the first few sessions.

  • Evidence-Based Care: Our treatments are supported by clinical studies and administered in a safe, professional environment.

  • Tailored Experience: Choose the option that best fits your needs: Spravato® intranasal treatment or guided sublingual ketamine therapy with a trained therapist.

  • Compassionate Support: Our expert providers walk with you every step of the way, ensuring you're supported, informed, and empowered throughout your journey.

FDA-Approved. In-Office. Fast-Acting.

Spravato® is a prescription nasal spray form of esketamine, a derivative of ketamine, approved by the FDA specifically for treatment-resistant depression. It works differently than traditional antidepressants by targeting glutamate receptors in the brain to restore and rewire damaged neural pathways, helping improve mood, cognition, and overall emotional regulation.

Spravato® is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have tried two or more antidepressants without success

  • Struggle with major depressive disorder or suicidal ideation

  • Are seeking a medically supported, structured alternative to oral medications

Why Choose Spravato® at APA?

  1. FDA-Approved & Insurance Eligible: As a regulated treatment, many patients can receive Spravato® with coverage under commercial insurance.

  2. Clinically Supervised: Administered in-office by licensed professionals to ensure safety and comfort.

  3. Minimal Commitment, Major Relief: Patients typically begin with 2 treatments per week during the initial phase, then taper to maintenance doses.

  4. Rapid Relief: Many patients feel noticeable mood improvement within the first few sessions. Learn more in the Patient Starter Guide.

Ketamine Assisted Treatment Program

A powerful, guided journey toward emotional healing.

Augustin Psychiatric Associates, in collaboration with Zen Holistic, is proud to introduce a Ketamine Assisted Treatment Program with the guidance of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Licensed Professional Counselor with specific training in Ketamine Assisted Treatment.

This groundbreaking experience is designed for patients struggling with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, or PTSD, individuals who haven’t found relief through traditional therapy or medication alone.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, this 6-session program uses sublingual ketamine, administered in a safe and calming setting, combined with the support of a licensed, ketamine-trained therapist. This is more than a treatment, it’s a guided mental wellness journey that unlocks healing from the inside out.

What to expect:

  • Comprehensive Evaluation: Your journey begins with a psychiatric evaluation by a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to determine your clinical and medical eligibility for ketamine-assisted therapy.

  • Collaborative Treatment Planning: You'll then meet with a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) trained specifically in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy to set intentions, explore your emotional needs, and establish a safe and supportive treatment plan.

  • 6 Weekly Guided Ketamine Sessions: Each session is facilitated by your LPC, who remains with you throughout your treatment. Your vitals are monitored by trained staff to ensure safety and comfort as you explore the therapeutic effects of ketamine.

  • Integration Support: A preparation session with your therapist helps you enter the experience grounded and clear. Ongoing therapy is recommended after your 6 sessions to reinforce progress and deepen your healing.

Program includes:

  • Intake with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

  • Intake with Licensed Professional Counselor

  • 1 Ketamine Preparation Session

  • 6 Guided Sublingual Ketamine Sessions

  • Licensed therapist present during each session

  • Medical monitoring and safety support throughout

Why Patients Choose Ketamine Assisted Therapy

  1. It’s Personalized: No two patients are alike. That’s why your program is built around your story, your goals, and your pace.

  2. It’s Whole-Person Focused: We address both the neurochemical and emotional layers of your mental health.

  3. It’s Clinically Led: Delivered by credentialed professionals trained in ketamine protocols and trauma-informed care.

  4. It’s Transformative: Patients often report emotional breakthroughs, increased clarity, reduced symptoms, and a renewed sense of peace.

This isn’t just a treatment, it’s a guided experience designed to help you reconnect, release, and rebuild from the inside out.
