Sheila Jourdain

Founder & CRNP, PMHNP-BC

Sheila Jourdain is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Augustin Psychiatric Associates. With more than 20 years of experience in mental health care, Sheila has built her career around helping people feel heard, understood, and supported.

Sheila completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner education at Maryville University of Saint Louis, graduating in 2019. She later earned her board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Sheila believes good mental health care starts with listening. Her approach is also grounded in her faith and the belief that each person deserves to be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. She takes time to understand what each person is going through, what they want from treatment, and what may be getting in the way. She then works alongside the patient to build a treatment plan around their individual needs, goals, and values.

Her approach combines compassionate, holistic care with evidence based treatment. Throughout her career, Sheila has completed more than 10,000 ADHD assessments, giving her extensive experience evaluating and caring for individuals with ADHD. She works with adults experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, stress, addiction, and other mental health challenges. Her work includes psychiatric care, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and other treatment options when appropriate.

Sheila's work also extends beyond her own patients. She serves as an adjunct professor in a Doctor of Nursing Practice program, mentors clinicians and practice owners, and helps train future Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners through APA's clinical preceptorship program.

As the founder of APA, Sheila has worked to create more than a psychiatric practice. She has built a team focused on making the entire care experience feel personal, welcoming, and supportive. Her goal is to make sure every person who comes to APA feels like they have a team beside them as they work toward better mental health.

Casey Malloy

CRNP, PMHNP-BC

Casey Malloy is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes good mental health care starts with listening. She works to create a safe and welcoming space where patients feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.

Casey earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University, with a focus in psychiatric mental health care. Her experience includes both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, where she has worked with people from many different backgrounds and stages of life.

As a provider, Casey completes psychiatric evaluations, creates personal treatment plans, manages medications, and helps patients and families better understand their care. She looks at the whole person when making treatment decisions, not just a diagnosis or list of symptoms.

Casey also brings years of hands on mental health experience to APA. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a psychiatric registered nurse and charge nurse in both inpatient and behavioral health settings. Earlier in her career, she served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic and Orthopedic Technician.

At APA, Casey’s goal is simple: help each patient feel comfortable, understood, and supported while working toward better mental health.

Sharee Medina

TMS and Spravato® Program Coordinator

Sharee is the TMS and Spravato® Program Coordinator at Augustin Psychiatric Associates. She plays an important role in helping patients feel supported, informed, and comfortable throughout their treatment experience.

Sharee helps coordinate the day-to-day needs of the TMS and Spravato® programs, from helping patients understand the treatment process to coordinating appointments and communicating with the care team. She helps keep each step organized so patients know what to expect and have the support they need along the way.

Her role also allows her to be one of the friendly faces patients can turn to when they have questions or need help navigating their care. She works closely with the clinical team to help create a smooth experience for patients from their first steps into treatment and throughout their care.

At Augustin Psychiatric Associates, we believe that great care is about more than the treatment itself. It is also about creating an experience where patients feel welcomed, respected, heard, and supported. Sharee is an important part of making that experience possible.

Romalyn Cuevas

Administrative Director

Roma serves as the Administrative Director, where she plays an important role in keeping the practice organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. While patients may know her as one of the friendly faces at the front of the practice, her work goes far beyond the front desk.

Roma helps manage the day-to-day administrative side of the practice and supports the systems that keep patients, providers, and staff connected. She helps make sure important details are handled, questions are directed to the right people, and the patient experience stays organized from the first point of contact.

A big part of Roma’s role is helping create a smooth experience for patients. Mental health care can already feel like a lot to navigate, so having a team member who is organized, responsive, and ready to help can make a real difference. Roma works to make each interaction with Augustin Psychiatric Associates feel professional, respectful, and welcoming.

She also works closely with the rest of the team to support the needs of the practice and help the clinical staff focus on what matters most: caring for patients. From everyday office needs to patient communication and administrative coordination, Roma helps keep the pieces moving behind the scenes. She’s also an important part of making sure patients feel welcomed, supported, and cared for from the moment they reach out.
